    For Android Devices Only

This installation guide and the download link are for Android phones only (e.g., Samsung, Google Pixel, Oppo). This will NOT work on Apple iPhones or iPads.

Welcome! Follow these simple steps to install the Sun Insurance Claims Tracking app on your Android device.

    Attention Samsung Users:

New Samsung phones have a security feature called "Auto Blocker" that may be ON by default. If it is on, it will block this installation.

Please check this setting before you download:

    1. Go to your phone's Settings.
    2. Tap on "Security and privacy".
    3. Scroll down and tap on "Auto Blocker".
    4. If it is ON, please tap the switch to turn it OFF.

You can turn this back on after you have finished installing the app.

    Step 1: Download the App

Tap the app icon below to start downloading the installation file (named `SunInsurance.apk`).

Your browser (like Chrome) may show a warning. Please tap "Download anyway" or "OK" to approve the download.

    Step 2: Allow Installation Permission

To install an app from a website, Android requires you to give permission. The step is different depending on your version of Android.

PATH A: For Newer Phones (Android 8 or newer)

    1. When the download is finished, tap "Open" in the notification that appears.
    2. A new pop-up will appear. Tap "Settings" on this pop-up.
    3. You will be taken to a new screen. Turn ON the switch that says "Allow from this source".
    4. Tap the back arrow once. The installer will now appear.

PATH B: For Older Phones (Android 7 or older)

    1. Before installing, go to your phone's main "Settings" app.
    2. Find and tap on "Security".
    3. Find the option named "Unknown sources" and tap the checkbox or switch to turn it ON.
    4. Now, open your **"Downloads"** app (or swipe down your notification tray) and tap on the `SunInsurance.apk` file to begin.

    Step 3: Approve the Installation

After completing Step 2, you will tap "Install". Your phone's built-in security (Google Play Protect) will show a final warning. This is normal.

    Important: "Blocked by Play Protect"

    1. A pop-up will appear saying "Blocked by Play Protect".
    2. Tap on "More details" (or a small downward arrow) on this pop-up.
    3. A new button will appear. Tap "Install anyway".

    Step 4: All Set!

The app will now finish installing. You can tap "Open" to start the app immediately, or find the "Sun Insurance" icon on your phone's home screen.

Step 5: For Advanced App Permissions (If Needed)

When you first open the app, it may ask for a special permission (like "Accessibility"). On new phones, you may see a "Restricted Setting" pop-up. This is a final security step.

    1. If you see a "Restricted Setting" pop-up, tap "OK".
    2. This will take you to the app's info page in your phone's Settings.
    3. Tap the three-dot menu icon (⋮) in the top-right corner.
    4. A small menu will appear. Tap on "Allow restricted settings".
    5. You may need to enter your phone's PIN or use your fingerprint to confirm.

You can now go back to the app and grant the permission it needs to work.

    Troubleshooting & Help

Problem: I missed the "Open" button after downloading.

Solution: No problem. Simply open your phone's "App Drawer" (the list of all your apps) and look for an app called "Downloads" or "My Files" (on Samsung). Open it, and you will see the `SunInsurance.apk` file at the top of the list. Tap it to start the installation from Step 2.

Problem: I got an "App not installed" error.

Solution: This can happen for a few reasons. Try these steps in order:

    1. Check Storage: Your phone may be out of space. Try deleting some old photos or unused apps to free up space.
    2. Delete and Re-download: The download file might have been corrupted. Please delete the `SunInsurance.apk` file from your "Downloads" folder and try downloading it from our website again.
    3. Uninstall Old Version: If you have an older version of the Sun Insurance app already on your phone, please uninstall it completely before trying to install this new one.
