Honoring the Legacy of a Founding Director Mr. Maharaj

It is with deep sorrow and a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of Mr. Diwan Maharaj, one of the founding directors of Sun Insurance Company Ltd. Mr. Maharaj left us on Saturday, November 16, 2024, a poignant year that marks 25 years since the establishment of our company. Just two days before his passing, he participated in his last board meeting, reflecting his unwavering commitment to the organization he helped build.
Together with the late Mr. Mahendra Sharma and current Chairman Padam Lala, Mr. Maharaj founded Sun Insurance Company in 1999 with a profound vision to create a Fijian-owned insurance provider that prioritizes exceptional customer service and affordable insurance solutions for the people of Fiji.
