Company Overview
Sun Insurance Company Ltd. has it's head office on the first floor of
the historic Harbour Front Building in the heart of Suva and provides
service centres in all the cities and towns of the nation with twelve full
time agents in Fiji.
Since its inception in 1999, Sun Insurance has followed a basic
three-point company philosophy set by the Chief Advisor to the Board:
-
Write good, quality business at the right price.
-
Maintain underwriting discipline at all times.
-
Company's future plan is to become a public company.
This sound business doctrine has served Sun Insurance well. Since
taking over the operations of NMBF insurance in 1999, which had been in
operation for five years, the company has seen premium income rise
considerably with a target of over $F15 million by year's end.
While global economic and financial conditions dropped sharply in 2001
triggering increased reinsurance premiums, Sun Insurance has continued its
rapid growth and is well on its way to reaching a market share goal of 15%
by the end of the year.
This success has been spurred on by our professional corporate
attitude, diversification of our company portfolio, and the development of
new service centres nationwide. By offering flexible and tailor-made
policies to our clients, Sun Insurance continues to strengthen its market
position. The introduction of new products along with immediate and
efficient customer service have also been keys to our growth.
